PITMAN SHORTHAND
With ordinary cursive handwriting, the best speed of writing is about 35 words per minute (wpm). People, however, speak at about 150 - 180 wpm, so the scribes who needed to record important speeches were faced with a physical problem of keeping up with what was said. As a result, Shorthand was born.
Our Pitman Shorthand weekend course has just commenced. As a result of overwhelming response for our Pitman Shorthand course, our Administrative Team is currently studying the feasibility of starting an additional weekday evening class. Please email us to register your interest and we will inform you as soon as we are ready to commence lessons.
Details of our upcoming Pitman Shorthand course will be updated on this page so do check back on this page for updates.

About Pitman Shorthand
